At the beginning of The Path of Gods

The Path of the Gods is one of the most beautiful nature trails in the world, about 7.8 km long. The path starts from Agerola and ends in Positano, a walk immersed in the most unspoilt nature that lasts about 4 hours.

It has been for centuries the only way to connect the countries of the Amalfi Coast, in the province of Salerno.

Here people, especially the elderly, live and work in harmony with the natural landscape. All this makes it almost as if time had never passed.

Agerola is the perfect location for excursions to Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Ravello and Conca dei Marini with its Grotta dello Smeraldo.

How to reach us

Agerola is the only municipality located in the coastal area, but belonging to the province of Naples. Reaching it is not difficult, thanks to the excellent connections it enjoys, which allow you to easily reach it both by public transport and by private car.

  • If you prefer to travel by car, from the north take the Autostrada del Sole to Naples. Arrived in Naples (which is about 45 Km), take the A3 Naples-Salerno, and continue to San Giovanni. At the Castellammare di Stabia exit, exit the motorway and take the SS145, continuing towards Gragnano, until you reach Agerola.
  • If you prefer to rely on public transport, the easiest station of the Ferrovie dello Stato is Naples, about 45 km from the center. The connection between the Municipality and the regional capital is ensured by the service of the Circumvesuviana, local railway network of which Castellammare di Stabia has a station (about 15 km from Agerola) on the Naples-Sorrento line: There are daily direct connections with the SITA SUD bus lines to Agerola, Naples, Pompeii excavations and Herculaneum excavations, with 38 daily trips both in summer and winter.
    If you are leaving from Naples, we recommend using the circumvesuviana service to get to Sorrento, and from there take a SITA bus.
  • By plane: the nearest airport is Naples Capodichino, about 49km away.
